Numbers don't lie, and that's the exact reason why coaches are so excited about the potential from the quarterback position group.
Through the first two-thirds of Spring Practice 2009, the quarterbacks as a collective group have produced some remarkable numbers. In the 10 workouts over the last three weeks, Matt Barkley, Aaron Corp and Mitch Mustain are a combined 256-for-346 in 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 periods, racking up a stunning 74.0 percent completion rate. And together, they've only thrown seven interceptions in those 346 pass attempts.
"The quarterbacks are having an awesome spring," Coach Carroll said. "The numbers along with their film add up for some really impressive practices for all three of them."
