Temperatures are approaching 100 degrees today in L.A., and fortunately for the Trojans, they're enjoying an off day from practice.
But Tuesday will be a different story.
Practice resumes tomorrow afternoon, and while temperatures will only reach the low-90s, athletic trainers are already taking precautionary measures for the unseasonably hot weather. They've been pushing proper hydration for the players in anticipation of the workout and they'll be encouraging extra rest and water breaks during the practice to avoid any potential heat-related health issues.
"We'll be keeping a close eye on the guys for sure," head athletic trainer Russ Romano said.
