Less than three weeks remain in the spring semester, and Coach Carroll is making a massive academic push with his players.
The grades and units the Trojans earn this semester will determine their eligibility for the fall, so every exam, paper and project add up for the players, who are constantly being reminded that finishing strong applies off the football field too.
"If you think you can be disciplined only in football and then everything else can be a mess, you're wrong," Carroll said during Tuesday's team meeting. "In your class work, don't be just good -- let's be great. Let's do it better than it's ever been done before in everything."
USC's last day of classes is May 1 and finals will wrap up on May 13.
