The Trojans are treating today like a game day in so many ways.
First, the boisterous team meeting this morning, then the scripted "First 18" for the offense and finally, a clap session for the offense and defense before heading out to the field, where a scrimmage-like period will ensue at the end of practice. The clap sessions act as final walk-thru reviews of key plays, with each snap ending with one unified clap from all the players and coaches.
"The most important day is today!" defensive line coach Jethro Franklin yelled to the defensive players before the clap session began. "Right now -- it's time!"
Roared linebackers coach Ken Norton Jr.: "It's 2009 -- what do you got?"

The defense gathers for a clap session in the Varsity Lounge just minutes before taking the field for today's practice.
